Feels like time is speeding up as we finish spring books and move deeper into the second half of 2024—if you’re in a similar place, I hope you find a way to slow down now and then this season.
Until then, here’s what’s new and next at Belle Point.
New Chapbook Releases
Happy pub day to our latest poetry chapbook, Book of Altars! Order direct for the next in our growing list of Texas poets.
We also have a new Prose Series release today! #19 features “Nonna Tears Apart a Chicken” by New Orleans writer Constance Adler; this piece is an excerpt from Constance’s novel Sight Unseen, forthcoming from ELJ Editions next year.
Events Roundup
Tonight, catch Teresa Tumminello Brader at the Hubbell Library in Algiers Point.
If you’re local to Northwest Arkansas, don’t forget to join us for one of these This New Dark events this week with Chase Dearinger!
NOLA locals, help Kirsten Reneau celebrate the launch of Sensitive Creatures next week at Bar Redux! Kirsten will also be part of this pretty dope trivia night at Blue Cypress Books on Thursday, 3/21—order tickets now!
Speaking of New Orleans, catch Kirsten and Teresa both at the Saints + Sinners and Tennessee Williams Festivals next weekend as well:
Finally, if you’re local to the Arkansas River Valley, come see us at the Bakery District Street Fest on Saturday! This is a new event that promises stellar food and lots of great local products—including books and bookish goods from your favorite small press in town. (Come say hi and bring me some pulled pork nachos.)
As always, thanks for sticking around.
