We’ve been cranking out several projects at once to be ready for AWP, and we’re feeling great about what’s coming this year. ICYMI, check out the first post in our new bookseller interview series, and then read on for Belle Point updates!
Cover Reveal
Our first 2024 poetry collection comes from previous Mid/South Anthology contributor Todd Osborne. We’re thrilled to formally introduce his debut book Gatherer, coming in April!
About Gatherer: What does it mean to belong when all the foundations are cracked? This debut poetry collection works toward many answers, attempting to shape a life inside deep loss and abiding love. Todd Osborne navigates questions of home and family amidst the complexities of Southern culture and personal grief. At its heart, Gatherer seeks solace in a faith that eludes without entirely fading. In every setting, the poet quietly lets us into a world in which “each day we survive feels like a miracle”—and we are left more attuned to its ordinary wonder.
About the Author: Todd Osborne is a poet and teacher originally from Nashville. He is a feedback editor for Tinderbox Poetry Journal and a poetry reader for Memorious. His poems have been featured at Scrawl Place, CutBank, The Missouri Review, Tar River Poetry, and EcoTheo Review. He lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with his wife and their three cats.
Pre-orders are now open! Learn more and reserve your copy here. We’ll be sharing early praise for the collection in the coming weeks, and you can also meet Todd at our AWP table soon!
Publicity Updates
New review of Letting In Air and Light in the wonderful Southern Review of Books!
“Bill’s story is extensive, but Brader does not allow [Clementine] Hunter to get lost in translation….Brader carefully outlines the stream of events that led to her uncle’s criminal behavior, but she is mindful of and pays homage to his victim on and off paper. She doesn’t downplay his actions and emphasizes the long delay of justice for Hunter.”
This New Dark was featured as a “Can’t Miss Indie Press Speculative Fiction” pick at Tor.com! One of our more exciting surprises to date, we’ll admit.
AND it’s listed alongside a New Directions title? Amazing!
As you can see, we’re in publicity mode for our next few books: This New Dark, Sensitive Creatures, and Of Fathers & Gods. If you are interested in covering any of these or hosting an event with one of our authors, please let us know by filling out this form!

Later this week we plan to share a new “On Publishing” post, so be sure to subscribe so you can be the first to read.
What a stunning cover! I need to get Todd to do a Rooted questionnaire!
