Lots of snow and wintry weather around these parts—hope everyone is staying warm and safe. Fingers crossed it all clears up and stays away in time for AWP in Kansas City!
Upcoming Events
First, a reminder to sign up for our next virtual event, a conversation with Amy Barnes (author of Child Craft) and Jolene McIlwain! Register here on Zoom and join us next Monday (1/22) at 7pm Central.
We’ve nearly finalized the lineup for our first AWP offsite: “Readings from Around Here,” a joint event with several authors representing New Territory Magazine (MO), Emerald City Lit Mag (KS), the Red Earth MFA (OK), and Belle Point Press (AR)! Keep an eye out for the list of readers and add us to your Thursday evening AWP plans. Come to Rochester Brewing and Roasting Company (Crossroads) at 6 to grab a beverage; readings will begin at 6:15. Rochester also has food options available if you’d like to grab some dinner while you’re there.
It’s shaping up to be a full house for our AWP sonnets reading on Friday evening! We can’t wait to celebrate this remarkable anthology with a few of our contributors—and take in some local donuts and cider.
Keep an eye out for other updates about our AWP schedule on-site! We’ll be at the book fair, of course, and Casie Dodd will be part of a Thursday panel on anthologies.
In case you haven’t heard, AWP announced the 2025 details last week: Los Angeles from March 26-29!
Catalog Updates
Our next chapbook, Snowfire and Home, officially releases next week! We just got it + The Bones That Map Us (our February release) back from the printer, so they’ll start shipping out very soon.
Remember that our already-discounted bundles are 20% off through the end of January. That means our five-chapbook subscription, normally $45, only costs $36 ($19 off cover price) + free shipping! Discount automatically applies at checkout.
Last week, we also created a subscription for our 2024 literary prose lineup:
Normally priced at $80, this offer is only $64 during our sale for 6 books + free shipping!
More news is coming, but for now we’ll leave you with another form of our “stick around” mantra—coming to the AWP book fair soon:
