In case you haven’t heard, we’re starting a workshop program! To kick things off, we’ll be offering three monthly poetry workshops by Ben Myers—former Oklahoma Poet Laureate, Mid/South Anthology contributor, and a longtime mentor and personal friend of mine (Casie’s). We’ll meet on Monday evenings from 6:30-8pm on September 26, October 17, and November 28 to discuss poetry from a variety of angles—see the list below for more information and sign up here! Join us for one, two, or all three sessions.
Our first creative nonfiction workshop will be led by New Orleans-based writer Kirsten Reneau! This workshop includes four sessions on Sunday afternoons (2:00-3:30pm) from October 30-November 20. Focused on the theme of “Mothers and Daughters,” we’ll study various examples and work through generative prompts to explore our own family experiences. Learn more and register here!
We hope to expand our workshop offerings next year, but we’re thrilled to start finding new ways to explore the “community” part of our Mid-Southern vision. We’d love for you to join us.
