I’ll be honest: these are wild days at the Belle Point household. As we juggle various home and family duties alongside other work and press responsibilities, I am continually grateful for the supportive community we have begun to build through starting this venture together.
At the same time, as I mentioned (or at least eluded to? It’s hard to remember) in my last post, I’ve at times felt a little adrift in navigating my own creative work as I devote more and more attention to the press. While I’ve continued to publish regularly, I’ve found myself struggling to figure out where my own writing fits in the current literary landscape. This isn’t a complaint, so much as an acknowledgment that I go through many of the same things other writers do while also working to grow the press and sustain our community.
But: there’s good news on the horizon with my own writing career that can also (I hope) benefit the press.
